A week after Dustin Johnson sauntered to his second major championship title, our attentions turn to two smaller events, in the form of the Joburg Open and the RSM Classic. The Joburg Open will be played at the Firethorn Course and Randpark, which was one of the courses recently used for the 2020 SA Open, and South African Christiaan Bezuidenhout is favoured to get the job done on home soil. On the PGA Tour, we go to Sea Island for another renewal of the RSM Classic where course horse, Webb Simpson is the overwhelming favourite, as he makes the journey from Augusta. Both events offer some great value, and the guys try to point you in the direction of that across both events! With a potential Masters hangover for some, these may not be events to get heavily involved in, but they will be enjoyable nonetheless.
Joburg Open 00:00 - 52:33
RSM Classic 52:34 - 1:30:35

Lee Aldrick of FanShare Sports joined the podcast to discuss this week's Masters from a DraftKings perspective. Who is the pick of the bunch at the top of the slate and worth paying up for, and who is perhaps costly but easy enough to put a line through? At the opposite end, who is going to be the guy in the 6k and 7k brackets that contribute to some winning lineups? Tune in to hear us go through the majority of the field and give pros and cons about players you are considering for your player pool and lineups.
From the UK and perhaps new to DraftKings? This would be the perfect show for you as Lee gives some helpful tips and some things to avoid as a beginner in this format.
As ever, if you enjoy the podcast, do please rate, review and share to enable us to reach an increasing audience! Thank you all, and have a great Masters week!

Tom and Jason are joined by Sporting Life’s, Ben Coley as they preview the much anticipated, 2020 Masters. With the top players generally all showing very good signs of form since golf returned over the Summer, which should make for an excellent event. Are there any outsiders worth betting this week, or should you stick to the head of the market? Will a November Masters play that different to April? Could the absence of patrons help a debutant win a Green Jacket for the first time since 1979?
All of this and more is answered in what was the 50th episode of the Lost Fore Words podcast. We are pleased to reach this milestone and would appreciate your support by way of reviews and retweets as we look to reach a growing audience!

In Episode 49 of the Lost Fore Words podcast, Will Wilcox joined the show to discuss his career so far. Will talks about his humble beginnings, how he struggled in his late teens, rededicating himself when given a second chance by Clayton State and much, much more. A winner on Tour, a member of the 59 club and a famous hole-in-one at the 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass that will live long in the memory, Will is not short a story and it is fair to say there is plenty more to come in the future.

Charlie Ford joins the podcast again for another topical discussion, this time about Major Championships. Tom and Charlie discuss whether majors are as essential to legendary status as they’re made out to be among fans, media and the likes. Do the players themselves consider them as essential? Are majors championship victories an unfair barometer of a players’ career? With just four played a year, and only one of those on the same course each season, it’s easy to see why some players can take a long time to win one, or in the case of a few notables, go a whole career without one. Two players in particular are discussed when it comes to deciding their status, as they were widely expected to win majors. Before we consider someone “a sure-fire major winner” maybe we need to consider what it takes to win one, beyond a players’ skill level and mental ability.

This week’s events see a new course and event on the European Tour as Aphrodite Hills plays host to the Cyprus Open, while the PGA Tour returns to Bermuda for the second staging of the Bermuda Championship. Both events have slightly weaker fields than previous weeks, as the top players opt to play it safe and take rest and recovery over match practice, in preparation for the upcoming Masters. We came very close to selecting the winner on the European Tour last week, as Laurie Canter just missed out in Italy, while Bubba Watson and Cameron Smith both shared 4th place are the ZOZO.

This week the European Tour to heads to Italy for the Italian Open while the PGA moves to California for the relocated ZOZO Championship. As has often been the case, these are courses we are not used to seeing on Tour, such is golf in the COVID-19 era, but we have some excellent players competing in both events, as they all desperately try and sharpen their tools for the upcoming Masters in November. Matt Wallace is the favourite in Italy, after a strong effort in Scotland, while Jon Rahm and Xander Schauffele share favouritism in the ZOZO.
Italian Open 00:00 - 41:41
ZOZO Championship 41:42 - 1:10:53

While a weak field has assembled on the European Tour, 16 of the top-20 players in the world are teeing it up in Las Vegas and more specifically Shadow Creek.
