A special week on the PGA Tour calendar as the players tee it up on Memorial week for the 2021 Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village. With questions marks surrounding the head of the market as it stands is there value to be had elsewhere this week, or is defending champion, Jon Rahm a worthy favourite at 10/1? With so many top players struggling to find their best form, it will be interesting to see who rises to the top here. Jack Nicklaus has renovated every hole again this year, so will there be any changes those that love this course will notice this time around?

This week, we try to recover from what was a wild week at the PGA Championship (congratulations Phil Mickelson!) as we look ahead to this week’s events on both the European and PGA Tours. In Europe we have the Made in Himmerland event, where we have a very confident 100/1 shot, and on the PGA Tour the players return to Colonial, where in June last year, the PGA Tour resumed play after an enforced break due to COVID-19. Can those that competed at Kiawah Island last week make the trip to each event this week and continue their form, after playing such a brutal test one week ago? If you think the answer is no, there is some great value in both events, further down the board.

This week we look at the second major of the season, the PGA Championship. Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course, where Rory McIlroy won by 8 strokes 9 years ago, is the host again this week. The longest course in major history and a lot of top players in great form, this should be an exciting week, with a lot of drama sure to surface. Tom & Jason were joined by Sporting Life’s, Ben Coley and FTN Daily and Mayo Media Network’s, Skylar Hoke to break down this stellar field.

This week the European Tour starts on Wednesday for the British Masters to give those competing in the PGA Championship next week an extra day to travel, whilst on the PGA Tour they warm up in Texas at the Byron Nelson. TPC Craig Ranch is the new host for that event and with a new course comes new questions, so it’ll be interesting to see who can answer them come Sunday.
With two events and two decent fields on offer this week, it was a great way to warm up for the second major of the year next week at Kiawah Island.

This week the European Tour heads to Tenerife, for the first of two events at Golf Costa Adeje, while the PGA Tour returns to the familiar setting of the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook, for the Valspar Championship.
Two contrasting events, with birdies the order of the day in Tenerife, while in Florida, under-par rounds will be much tougher to come by. With decent fields in both events, it makes for a great week of golf ahead of us!

This week the European Tour heads to Gran Canaria for a new event on the schedule. Frenchman Antoine Rozner is favourite ahead of Mathias Schwab, Sam Horsfield, Andy Sullivan and tournament host, Rafa Cabrera Bello, but there may well be some value to be had elsewhere as well. With the back nine exposed to coastal winds, there’s a chance form at the likes of Oman and Mauritius could come into play, as could form on resort courses, such as Aphrodite Hills. A week of unknowns, it was worth looking down the board for some long shots.

This week we recap the Masters, plus we preview the return of the European Tour, as the Tour heads to Vienna for the Austrian Golf Open. On the PGA Tour, a strong field has assembled for the RBC Heritage, and with some of the biggest names from last week’s field here this week, including the runner-up, Will Zalatoris, it will be interesting to see if there are any Masters hangovers.

Tom & Jason were joined by Sporting Life's, Ben Coley for this year's Masters preview. There is a consensus pick at the top of the market, as well as plenty of value offered down the board. Although there are a number of trends available to us at this particular major, the first of the year always seems the toughest to work out and this renewal looks to be no different.
On top of Ben's contribution to this podcast he has also written an excellent player-by-player guide - Player-by-player guide to the 2021 Masters Tournament at Augusta National (sportinglife.com)

This week, the PGA Tour stays in Texas after the WGC Matchplay, as a full field contest the final event before The Masters - the Valero Texas Open.
The winner can still get into next week’s field, and that will be plenty encouragement for those not qualified, while those at the head of the betting look to sharpen their tools one last time before Augusta.
There was no event last year due to COVID-19, making 2019 winner Corey Conners the default defending champion and he’ll look for a good week ahead of his run at Augusta.
With a host of long shot selections, Jason and Tom are hoping an outsider can take advantage of the fact that next week may be too big of a distraction for some, and can come through and get the job done.
