This week Bradley Todd (Bradley_Todd) joins us to preview the Czech Masters, the first leg of the FedEx Cup, The Northern Trust, and the final major of the season - the Women's British Open. Although the favourites look rock solid in each event, there may well be some value to be found elsewhere, so keep an ear out for those selections this week.

This week we were joined by Stanley, the founder and operator of Tour Tips, which is our #1 resource. We dive into how the site can be used, answers some of our own questions and hopefully shed some light on how to use the site most effectively. As mentioned in the podcast there is a trial version of the site, which gives you statistics on the Korn Ferry Tour so you can feel free to give that a try. Stanley then joins both Tom and Jason in breaking down the Cazoo Classic and Wyndham Championship. The Wyndham Championship is last chance saloon for some of the field to make their way into the FedEx Cup Playoffs this week, so there should be a lot of interesting dynamics developing thru the week.

This week more than ever we highly recommend you check out Tour-Tips.com for all the relevant statistics required to make informed selections each week. One-week subscription to tour-tips.com only £5. As also noted, a free trial version of the site with Korn Ferry statistics is available if you want to try before subscribing.

This week Mark Diana (GolfBets101 on Twitter) joined us to look into the two events Stateside from a DraftKings perspective, as well breaking down bets in the Hero Open, WGC FedEx St Jude and the Barracuda Championship. With three events in one week and an Olympic hangover, it's going to be interesting to see how this week unfolds, as we start getting into the business-end of the season on both the European and PGA Tours. We would love your feedback this week on the DraftKings chat, as we look to expand our listener base, and enter a different area of the game once again.

Tuesday Jul 20, 2021

In our second podcast of the week, Matt Cooper joins to discuss his week at Royal St George's as well as helping us break down the field in the second major in as many weeks - the Evian Championship. Moved from September back to July, the organisers will be desperate for good weather to avoid more criticism of the event. A few of the biggest names on Tour, including Danielle Kang and Lexi Thompson are skipping the week to prepare for the Olympics next week, and Jason and Matt are both very keen on a player at the head of the market.

Monday Jul 19, 2021

A week after a major is always a tough one, as you never know how the market leaders are going to react after a tough few days in the biggest of tests, but Matt Wallace will look to move on as he headlines the Cazoo Open, presented by Gareth Bale (LOL), while the trio of Dustin Johnson and Louis Oosthuizen will look to put Royal St George’s disappointments behind them and go well at the 3M Open. Tom and Jason unsurprisingly look elsewhere in both events, and try and find some value in players that can take on the favourites this week.

Tuesday Jul 13, 2021

This week, Tom and Jason were joined by SportingLife’s, Ben Coley and Skylar Hoke of SiriusXM and Mayo Media Network to break down the field at Royal St George’s for the 2021 Open Championship.
Current US Open winner, Jon Rahm is the red-hot favourite this week, but the guys were happy to look elsewhere for their selections this week. Although it might not be the best week for a true longshot, their certainly seems to be a lot of value around thanks to Rahm taking up a chunk of the market.
Questions will be asked ahead of the week of Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson both of whom have links pedigree, with the latter a runner-up here in 2011.
This is the biggest remaining event of the season, with major season coming to an end, so some players will have half an eye on the Ryder Cup standings as they look to impress captions, Padraig Harrington and Steve Stricker.
With 32,000 fans at the course each day this week, there will be a renewed atmosphere that we have not been able to enjoy in British Golf since the last Open in 2019.

Episode 87 - Chris Williams

Sunday Jul 04, 2021

Sunday Jul 04, 2021

In our latest interview, former World No.1 Amateur, Ben Hogan Award winner, and Mark H. McCormack Medal recipient, Chris Willams joined the podcast.
Chris talks us through his early years, his incredible college career, and what made it such a special experience. He notes in particular the impact his coach Matt Thurmond had on him, and how he would like to give others the same experience himself, in his role as an assistant coach at Auburn University.
One of the biggest factors Chris attributes to his success at college was being on the same team as Nick Taylor who himself won the Hogan Award and not only encouraged Chris but spurred him on to reach the heights that he did through a high level of competition.
While struggling at times as a professional, Chris enjoyed one of his best seasons on Mackenzie Tour in 2018 before stepping away from the game, and he discusses why he is still at peace with that decision and why he ultimately made the choice that he did.
This was an incredible insight into the life of an elite-level athlete who for a long time was the best in the world at his level. He will now pass on all his experiences to other young golfers who will look to emulate his success, while potentially developing a new way of recruiting golfers at the college level based on his own experiences.

Monday Jun 28, 2021

This week Tom and Jason are joined by Matt Tizzard to preview the Irish Open & Rocket Mortgage Classic. The Irish Open returns to Mount Juliet, a course not used since hosting a WGC back in 2004, but we have hopefully found a link from those results that have helped with the selections this week. Stateside it’s the Rocket Mortgage Classic which in its 3rd year is still in its infancy and it’s perhaps not the easiest event to assess.
We are now building up to the Open Championship which starts in mid-July, so the Scottish Open next week, which welcomes a host of PGA Tour regulars should be a perfect precursor for that. That will be our final major championship of the season due to the change of scheduling for the PGA Championship, so the field will be hungrier than ever for success in that championship, as they look to put a bow on their season there.

Monday Jun 21, 2021

This week we recover from a dramatic US Open, which saw Jon Rahm win his first major, with clutch birdie putts on 17&18 and we will see how the market leaders in both events cope after being involved at Torrey Pines last week.
On the European Tour we are back in Germany for the BMW International Open where Viktor Hovland, Louis Oosthuizen and Sergio headline, and on the PGA Tour a stellar field including Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka has assembled for the Travelers Championship.

Episode 84 - US Open Preview

Monday Jun 14, 2021

Monday Jun 14, 2021

This week’s US Open preview sees Sporting Life’s, Ben Coley join regular hosts Tom and Jason as the trio break down the field at Torrey Pines.
Is there chances for outsiders here at Torrey, or will the cream rise to the top in this prestigious event?
With Jon Rahm desperate to put the Memorial firmly in his rear view, can he capture his first major title at the same course he won his first PGA Tour event at back in 2017? He is the favourite to do so, and with question marks surrounding a lot of the market at the moment, it may well be tough to look past him.
That said, the guys look at 22/1 and beyond for their selections, with a real mix of youth and experience, as well a some notable names to look out for further down the market, one of which is available at 1000/1 (!!) on Betfair.
